Can I wash my Xtreme Canteen in the dishwasher?

No. The vacuum seal of your canteen may be compromised if you wash your canteen in the dishwasher.

How should I clean my Xtreme Canteen?

We recommend cleaning your Xtreme Canteen with hot water and dish soap or vinegar. Since your canteen is composed of 18/8 stainless steel, it does not absorb the flavors of your liquids.

Will my Xtreme Canteen fit in a car cupholder?

The 32oz and 40oz canteens do not fit into most car cupholders, however in the larger SUV’s and Trucks they may fit. Xtreme Canteen has designed a new 24oz size bottle that will fit into 99% of all upholders and will be available to purchase in Spring/early Summer 2016.

What will happen if I drop my Xtreme Canteen?

Your canteen may dent. If you drop your canteen and it dents, the canteen will still work. The Xtreme Canteen is built to endure the wear and tear of an Xtreme lifestyle.

Does my Xtreme Canteen “sweat”?

No. Thanks to the amazing double wall, vacuum insulated construction of your canteen, your bottle will not condensate (“sweat”).

What is the outside of the Xtreme Canteen made out of (it looks like plastic)?

Your Xtreme Canteen is composed of 18/8 stainless steel. The outside of your canteen is painted with a powder coating, a tough and durable paint with a hard finish. We use powder coating paint on the outside of our canteens to ensure your paint does not chip.

Will my canteen get hot/cold on the outside based on the temperature of the liquid inside of my canteen?

Your liquids will not affect the outside temperature of your canteen. Since the bottle is double walled, your liquids never come in contact with the outer wall of your canteen.

Will my stainless steel lid get hot/cold on the outside based on the temperature of the liquid inside of my canteen?

Your stainless steel lid will not be affected by the temperatures of your liquid inside of your canteen. Your stainless steel lid is double walled, just like your canteen.

Do the darker colored canteens keep liquids as cold as the lighter colored canteens?

The color of your canteen does not affect how long your liquids will stay hot or cold.

Where is the product made?

Our Xtreme Canteens are manufactured in China and designed with aloha in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Are there BPA or any other harmful chemicals in the plastic on my canteen?

No. Any plastic you see on your canteen is BPA free!

What is the diameter of my canteen?

The diameter of both the 32 ounce and 40 ounce canteens is 3.5 inches.

Will my Xtreme Canteen fit in a bike mount?

Our 32 ounce and 40 ounce canteens do not fit into a generic bike mount. However, there are bike mounts that will hold your canteen (3.5 inch diameter). You can find bike mounts that will fit your canteen on eBay. Please follow the link to view an example of a bike mount available for purchase.

Will my Xtreme Canteen leak?

If you are using our plastic strap lid, stainless strap lid, or signature stainless lid, your Xtreme Canteen should not leak. If your canteen leaks, please contact us. You might be missing essential parts of your canteen lid.

What happens if my canteen does not keep liquids cold up to 24 hours or hot up to 12 hours?

Please contact us and we will troubleshoot with you. It is likely your vacuum seal has been compromised, in which case, you will receive a new canteen!
